Subtle Signs of Spring

I was outside in the drizzle yesterday looking for signs of spring. We've had a few mild days, and that's all it took to jump start this errant spring:

There are maples budding,

Daffodils poking out of the soil,

Geraniums,

Siberian Iris (maybe they'll finally bloom this year?)

Columbine,

and daylilies!

  3. It kills me when I look at all my old photos and then the photos of what I shot today or yesterday. And yet, when I'm out in the garden it looks great, at least I can see something green!

  4. Nancy, I don't think I'll ever get over the thrill of green poking out of the soil in spring.

Frances, yesterday it was 60, much cooler today, but so many hopeful signs spring is finally here.

Joy, if I could I'd fed ex you some spring!

Melanie, it won't be long before things are bursting all over the place. I see a little more green every day.
