Our Little Valentine

K, my oldest daughter and her husband joyfully welcomed a little Valentine into the world early this morning. She is 8 pounds, 6 ounces, and 20 1/2 inches long. Every inch of her is perfect and beautiful.

  5. Has she got 10 fingers and 10 toes, Linda ? Just kidding :-) It seems like only yesterday that I became a grandmother and now she's 14 months old.

Congrats to you and I know you'll enjoy her as much as I have enjoyed my granddaughter.

  6. Thank you Carol! She is precious.

It was a surprise having her in time for Valentines Day Debbie - she decided to come 8 days before her due date.

Thank you Gail! I'll come to whatever she likes to call me! Grandma is fine, but sometimes what babies come up with before they can say "Grandma" is so cute it sticks for the long haul.

Her birth definitely makes Valentines Day even more special than usual Gatsby!

Ha ha Carolyn! (yep - we counted!) She's got lovely, elegant, long fingers and toes.

Thank you - I know it's going to be wonderful!

  10. Hi Layanee, I can't think of a more wonderful Valentine's gift! I'll probably call her Valentine or Valentina on the blog - seems fitting!

I call my grandson The Little Guy - as fast as he's growing, that blog moniker won't last much longer. I need to come up with something else!

  12. Thank you Tamara, and thanks for visiting!

When I came back into our home office after folding laundry, I was very surprised to find it so covered with roses I couldn't see the desk! (and there was chocolate too! :)

  17. I am on cloud nine Lynn! (hmmm. . . is there a cloud ten? ;)

I feel old - back when K was born, they didn't even put those little hats on babies in the hospital.

Thank you Monica! She is very sweet. She seems like a very calm baby (except when she's hungry!) Thanks for your good wishes - I'll definitely let him know.

    Thank you Rose!

Happy Valentine's Day to you too Jan! It was a wonderful surprise. Valentines Day will forever hold new and precious memories for me! Thank you!

    Thank you Lily!
