Meeting the Bloggers

Hi everyone, I'll have more photos after Spring Fling - Since we're getting started so early in the morning and ending late in the evening, it will be hard to find time to do posts during Spring Fling, but I wanted to share a couple of photos of the bloggers attending Chicago Spring Fling. These shots were taken at the Chicago Botanic Garden shortly after our arrival Friday morning.

We arrived at the Garden in two groups, and the Garden's staff couldn't have been more warm and welcoming. They took some photos of the early birds and the later arrivals, and I thought you'd enjoy seeing us all.

Friday we visited the Chicago Botanic Garden in the morning, and the Lurie Garden in the afternoon. We capped off our day with a reception, where we had a wonderful time visiting and getting to know each other.

We're having a great time, and I'm looking forward to sharing more later, even if, by the time I have time to catch my breath, Chicago Spring Fling will be a wonderful memory.

  1. What a great looking group of folks;-) I do recognize a lot of you...but several I don't. Can you give a list of names from L to R? I'd love to see that!

  4. How wonderful to see you all together and having fun - thanks, Linda - hope you get some restful restorative sleep after all the excitement of the Fling.

I remember just wanting to crash and sleep after everyone left Austin last year ;-]

  5. The Botanic Garden was simply an awesome place! Beckie and I have already decided we need to make a special trip to see it again and see all the places we missed in this short visit (we definitely should have opted for the early arrival!). It was wonderful to be able to meet you in person, and thank you for all your hard work in organizing this. It's a weekend I will long remember! I hope now you get a chance to rest a little and catch up.

  13. Hi Linda, I do hope you have recovered from being responsible for a group of garden loving bloggers. You did a fabulous job, as did the whole hosting group. Chicago was the Belle of the Ball however! What a fabulous place to visit, and every garden was amazing, as was the food. Really, we do so appreciate what went into making it a time that will conjure wonderful memories for years to come. :-)

    Linda,

Thanks to you and Rachel for taking care of the group on the first day. Can't wait to see if you got a chance to take some pics the other days you were there.

  15. Hi All, forgive me for not responding individually - I have a lot of catching up to do.

Lisa, and everyone - please feel free to capture the group photos, provided courtesy of Chicago Botanic Garden.

I'm sorry I won't have time to identify everyone in the photos, but I hope you enjoyed them all the same.

  16. Hi Linda, I didn't see this second photo (there's something so American Gothic-esque about it!) on the ChiBot website, so I'm going to link to yours from my own post (which I've been working on for the last 3 hours...) It's... Monica!
