  3. Hi Joy! It's really a daffodil. I wish I knew which one. They were here when I came, but weren't blooming anymore since the foliage had been cut back too early for years. I divided, moved, and fed them. Last year there were only three blooms, and this year there were 17, on two different types of daffodils.

It's amazing how many different forms daffodils can take Helen! Of the two types we have here, this is my favorite.

  8. I haven't seen this one anywhere either Marnie. Maybe if I checked the bulb catalogs in the fall I could figure out what it is.

I think so too Victoria and Lily!

It does look buttery Nancy! Thanks!

  11. Glad the daffodil brought a smile Stephanie. Seeing them blooming more this year has made me smile too, especially when I almost dug them out and composted them since it had been so many years without blooms.

I love it Gail. This spring has been especially marvelous in our garden. Finally, after seven years, the sleeping, creeping garden is beginning to leap. Now, if I can just keep the bunnies and squirrels from wreaking havoc!

  12. Wow, Linda, that really is one huge daffodil! It does look like a lily. I've read a bunch of comments from you on some of the earth-day posts and you always mention something you are doing that would fit right in...so I hope you'll join in and add a post for the giveaway;-) Jan

  13. Hi Jan, It's definitely the biggest daf I've seen. I just love them!

I hope to do an Earth Day post - just ruminating on it so it doesn't become a book!
