She has clusters of gorgeous, delicate, intricate violet-blue blooms. She's low-growing, and hardy in zones 5-8. Her oh-so-subtly variegated, deeply-cut foliage remains fresh throughout the growing season, and has lovely bronze fall color. Rozanne blooms in full sun through part shade, and she's beautiful in containers. She even loves the dry, maple-root infested, mostly shaded challenge I like to call my garden. She is one. tough. cookie. I can't think of a single reason not to grow this delicate, floriferous beauty. I'm in love.
Thank you for visiting my blog and thank you for nice words :)
ReplyDeleteI just saw picture of geranium rozeanne - she is really beautiful. I love geraniums - have few of them in may garden - they very dependable and easy to grow :)
Greetings,
Ewa
Hello Ewa,
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog! I'm so excited to have my first visitor!
I love the perennial geraniums too. I have Johnson's Blue, which mostly blooms just in late spring and early summer in my garden, Geranium sanguineum striatum, which is light pink and blooms sporadically from late spring through fall, and another one that is bright pink. I'm not sure of the name of it. It has smaller flowers than the other ones and blooms less, but it's still really pretty.
I have to be careful of the squirrels when I plant new geraniums. They like to dig them up and carry them away!
I have spent quite a bit of time today reading your blog and looking at your gorgeous pictures. Your gardens are very beautiful and inspiring!
Yayyyy, so happy you're a blogger now. I'll be here every day so you better keep posting ;)
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'll learn something about gardening!
